Who you are dealing with
A small team, not a marketplace.
ChinaFactoryHost is hosted by a tight team in Zhejiang, with a second footprint in the Pearl River Delta. We are not a platform, and there is no network of freelance agents being dispatched under our name. When you book us, the people you meet are the people who did the preparation.
We are deliberately small because the work does not survive being handed off. Somebody has to know which factories said yes, which ones we argued with, and which ones we will not take you back to. That knowledge does not transfer through a booking form.
The person who reads your first message, prepares the itinerary and stands beside you on the floor goes by Chenghai — one consistent point of contact from “can you help?” to “we're home”. You will not be handed between anonymous inboxes.

Why this exists
The premise is simple and slightly unfair.
Every factory in China is easy to find online and hard to trust from abroad. A listing, a catalogue and a friendly salesperson look identical whether you are dealing with a maker or with a trading company renting an office above them. The difference only becomes visible once somebody is physically standing on the floor.
We started hosting after watching people fly twenty hours to discover this in the wrong order — first for friends who wanted to film inside factories, then for buyers who wanted to stop guessing. The service is not complicated: we are already close enough to check first.
The part we are sticky about is who pays us. Our fee comes from you and never from a factory, because anything else quietly rearranges our judgement. Every other decision on this site flows from that one.
Language advantage
Two things get lost in translation.
Neither is vocabulary. Both cost money.

We are not sourcing agents
We will take you to factories, negotiate beside you and tell you what we would do. We do not build supplier lists from a desk and email quotes to people we have never met.

What we don't do
We are not inspectors or certifiers
We can check a certificate number against the issuing registry and flag what we see on the floor. We are not a testing laboratory, a certification body or a social-compliance auditor.
