I already have suppliers
You have a shortlist and a sinking feeling. We verify each one and run the visit so you meet the production manager, not a sales rep.
Factory visits
We arrange visits to real factories, confirm what is actually there before you fly, and stay beside you on the floor. Filming for an audience, or signing a production run — the multi-day version is a sourcing trip.

The difference
A tour shows you around. A visit is built around a decision: whether this supplier is real, whether it can hold your volume, and whether the person in the room can actually agree to your terms. That changes what gets booked, who you meet and what you leave with.
The difference is also why we verify before you arrive. A listing, a catalogue and a friendly salesperson look identical whether you are dealing with a maker or a trading companyrenting an office above one. The distinction only becomes visible once somebody is physically standing on the floor.
Start where you are
You have a shortlist and a sinking feeling. We verify each one and run the visit so you meet the production manager, not a sales rep.
You know the product but not the region. Tell us the category and quantity — we name the right cluster and shortlist real factories.
You want to understand the landscape before committing. Start with the regions and industries, then turn it into a route.
What is included
On every hosted visit
The route and appointments are visit planning; the shortlist is factory matching.
Boundaries
Listed here rather than left for you to discover halfway through.
Know the terms
Mixing them up is how buyers overpay, or get promised a standard nobody certified.
| Dimension | Factory visitwhat we run | Factory auditcoordinated with specialists | Product inspectiona separate discipline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core question | Is this the right partner? | Does the factory meet a standard? | Does this batch meet the spec? |
| What gets checked | Licence, scope, floor, capacity, decision-maker | Systems, records, compliance evidence | The units in one specific order |
| Who does the work | Our team, on the ground | Certified auditors we coordinate | Independent QC inspectors |
| Deliverable | A written visit report | A formal audit report | An inspection report |
| What ChinaFactoryHost provides | Yes — this is our core | Coordination only | Coordination only |
A visit is not an audit and neither is an inspection. We do not pass a casual visit off as a formal audit; when you need one, we coordinate the right specialist and keep our own role explicit.
The full three-way distinction is in the guide.
Where to start
Yes, but a public factory directory is not the same as a walk-in. Visits are arranged by appointment, in advance, with the factory that actually makes your product. That arrangement — and knowing which factories will agree — is most of the service.
A tour shows you around. A visit is built around a decision — whether this supplier is real, can hold your volume, and can say yes to your terms. The itinerary is your shortlist, not a sightseeing loop.
In one industrial cluster, two focused visits a day is realistic and productive. Three usually means cutting a walk-through short. We plan density around the cluster, not around a wish list, and we will tell you when your plan is too full.
Appointments are confirmed in advance, so the earlier the better — and if you need filming permission, that has its own lead time. We confirm what is realistic for your dates before you book a flight.
We build alternatives into the plan. A refusal costs you a location, not a trip day — and we say so before you fly rather than at the gate.
Next step
Tell us the category, the city and roughly when. You get a straight answer about what is realistic.
No obligation. We reply within 1 business day, China Time (GMT+8).
